Whitewater Rafting

Whitewater Rafting in the Vail Valley

Whitewater Rafting in Colorado

Eagle County is a 'must do' whitewater experience for many enthusiasts and with the new whitewater park in Avon and the ever-popular Vail Whitewater Park, it's even more appealing to those looking for a great place to test their skills and have fun in the water.  There are a numerous places to kayak and raft in Eagle County that range from Class-I to Class-V.  Public launches are also plentiful along most rivers.  The upper Colorado River is great for family float trips.  The natural splashes and swimming holes make the river inviting to those new to rafting and yet still appeals to experienced rafters.  Just minutes from Avon, Vail and Beaver Creek, during the late spring and early summer, rafting trips are available down the Eagle River, which offers many classes of whitewater trips were you can enjoy beautiful scenery and wildlife sightings. Trips can range from Class-I all the way to Class-V.

We look forward to seeing on the river!

Avon Whitewater Park
Whether you are a seasoned paddler or a curious sightseer, Avon’s Whitewater Park offers an exhilarating and fun freestyle kayaking experience. Located just blocks south of the town center, directly under “Bob the Bridge” on Avon Road, Avon’s new Whitewater Park is 350 feet in length. The Park offers a spectator viewing terrace and large flat boulders along the river’s edge for seating. In keeping with the humor of the name of the bridge that hovers above the park, the three water features are aptly named, Baby Bob, Bob Jr., and Bob Sr. Whitewater Park offers beginning, intermediate, and advanced paddling opportunities.
